Source: mandylasersFirst of all, just think of the simplest shapes. My babies are entirely circles and ovals, with very few straight lines and absolutely no points.
Also keep in mind proportions! Baby Wade (above) and baby Peter (below) have heads the exact size of their bodies as well as limbs that are all completely equal in size.
Another thing to think about are straights and curves. Peter (above) and Scott (below) are very simple and rounded, but proper placement of curved lines compared to straight ones are everything when it comes to poses!
People often find hands hard but in this case (again) just think of circles and ovals! Keep everything nice and pudgy down to the smallest details. Easy peasy!
And here’s my last example, combining each of my tips! Simple shapes. Even proportions. Straights and curves. AND PUDGYNESS! I used Logan for a reason! To obtain maximum pudgy cuteness, even the pointiest characters should be rounded and squishy looking<3
